For citizenship and residence permits

Category I is required for naturalisation and for many public sector jobs. Naturalisation adds a separate exam on the Lithuanian Constitution.

Exam format

  • 🎧Listening, 25 minutes: messages, announcements, short dialogues.
  • 📖Reading, 45 minutes: administrative and everyday texts.
  • ✍️Writing, 45 minutes: a request, a message, a structured text.
  • 🎤Speaking: interview and role play with an examiner.

Scoring

The exam awards a category rather than a single mark. Category I is the one required for naturalisation.

Preparing for the Valstybines kalbos egzaminas with OpiFluent
